October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month — and a great time to correct misconceptions that violence against women is a special interest or women’s issue. Instead, it’s each of our issue. To illustrate our shared interest in moving from awareness to action, I’m sharing observations from Every 90 Seconds: Our Common Cause Ending Violence against Women on connections between intimate violence and pressing public problems. Follow along on social media or check out week-by-week galleries here.
I hope these images inspire you to consider: What stories can you tell to show people that we all share an interest in preventing and responding to violence against women? Who can you bring into the conversation and engage to build towards collaborative action?
Week 1: Violence against women is an economic issue.

Week 2: Violence against women is a health issue.

Week 3: Violence against women is an education issue.

Week 4: Change is possible through collaboration.
